Here are the latest updates regarding this week’s event:

The U12 Competition is going ahead on Thursday as scheduled. We will be having a 1 run inspection in Bowl Over. Athletes and coaches will then coordinate to arrive at the Eagle’s Eye staging area 15 mins prior to when they expect to have their run based on the start list. An event staff member will be in the Eagle’s Eye foyer with a radio to coordinate getting the athletes ready and directed to the start. We are aiming to have no more than 15 people in the Eagle’s Eye foyer at a time, and thank you for your cooperation in advance.

Due to forecasted extreme cold the resort will be closed on Friday January 12. Therefore we are moving to a 1 run competition for all Junior 3* categories.

For the Junior 3* competition the Event and KHMR staff have come up with a Plan A and a Plan B depending on how the weather plays out on Saturday:

Plan A (can operate Saturday and Sunday)
Venue – T1 South into Super Bowl. Athletes and coaches will access the venue by hiking up T1 and then traversing to the start gate.
Saturday – U15 Ski and SB, U19 SB
Sunday – U19 Ski

Plan B (can’t operate Saturday due to cold)
Venue – Guntowers on Redemption Ridge North into Feuz Bowl. Athletes and coaches will access the venue by Stairway to Heaven chair and Redemption Road
Sunday – All Categories running with 2 judges panels

On Venue Inspection will be available in both Junior 3* venues on Thursday afternoon.
With the incoming cold weather it is critical that everyone be properly prepared: no exposed skin, heaters or heat packs where possible, proper layering, minimize time spent outside and get inside after each run to warm up, recognize signs of frostbite, keep yourselves properly fueled up with water, food and warm drinks.
